Sea Girt seasonal beach badges have increased from $80.00 to $100.00. Most of us would love to see their incomes increase by that percentage in a year. It appears that the reason behind it was the DEP fine that Sea Girt was hit with after doing things on the beach that it should not AND the death of of a Piping Plover chick that was found where the beach rake drops the material it collects. Seems odd that the uses of the beach have to pay for the errors of the managment and employees of the beach. Think they got a nice increase in pay as well this year?
Sea Girt did introduce a 10 day Pack of beach badges for $80. I am guessing a lot of people will use them and they may see a drop in th Seasonal badges. Daily badges are $9.00.
